Purpose:
The Harlem High Alumni Assistance Fund is being established as a charitable program under the umbrella of The Machesney Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Fund’s mission is to provide financial assistance, grants, and support to indigent alumni of Harlem High School, helping them meet essential needs, pursue educational opportunities, or improve their quality of life.
Administration:
The Fund shall be administered by a committee appointed by the Board of The Machesney Corporation, which shall have the authority to review applications, determine grant eligibility, and distribute funds in accordance with the Fund’s mission. All contributions to the Fund shall be used solely for its charitable purposes.
Public Recognition
The Fund may receive donations from individuals, organizations, and other entities. All donors shall be informed that contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and that funds will be used exclusively for the benefit of eligible Harlem High School alumni in financial need.
Oversight:
The Board of The Machesney Corporation retains ultimate oversight of the fund to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, proper financial management, and alignment with the organization’s charitable
mission.
